Empty the Fuel Tank
This is MANDATORY. Your bike must have a completely empty fuel tank before handing over. Indian Railways strictly prohibits fuel transport. Violating this rule can result in a fine of ₹1,000 to ₹5,000, and may involve police action.
Prepare Documents
Bring all required documents to the parcel office: Government-issued ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport), Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) — the name on RC must match your ID, Insurance paper photocopy, and your ParcelJi booking confirmation.
Professional Packing
At the railway station, professional packers will wrap your bike with bubble wrap, cardboard, and protective materials. Remove all loose accessories (mirrors, toolkits, GPS devices) before packing. The packing charge is typically ₹300 to ₹500.
Complete Booking Form
Visit the Chief Parcel Supervisor at the station. Fill the Forwarding Note / parcel booking form with: your name, address, phone number, engine number, chassis number, bike make & model, declared value, origin and destination station. If shipment value exceeds ₹50,000, an E-way bill is required.
Pay Charges
Pay the freight charges at the booking counter. The amount depends on the weight of your bike, the distance between stations, and the train class (P-scale, R-scale, or S-scale). You'll receive an official Parcel Way Bill — this is your receipt and tracking document. Keep it safe!
Labelling & Handover
The station staff will label your bike with the origin station, destination station, and parcel way bill number. Mark your bike with identifying details. The bike is then loaded into the railway freight wagon for transit.
Track & Collect
Track your bike's transit status on ParcelJi or via Indian Railways helpline 139. Once arrived at destination, you (or our ParcelJi agent) must collect the bike within 48 hours. After 48 hours, demurrage (storage) charges apply. Bring your Parcel Way Bill, ID proof, and RC for collection.
