1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the ParcelJi platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ParcelJi Logistics Pvt. Ltd. ("ParcelJi", "we", "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

2. Services Offered

ParcelJi is a technology platform that connects customers with verified railway cargo agents for parcel and freight delivery via Indian Railways. Our services include:

Railway parcel and cargo booking
Bike and vehicle transport via train
Household goods shifting
Express and bulk freight delivery
Real-time shipment tracking
Pickup scheduling and door-to-station collection

ParcelJi acts as a marketplace connecting shippers with agents. We do not directly handle, transport, or store goods. Railway transport is subject to Indian Railways rules and regulations.

3. User Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
One account per person. Multiple accounts may be suspended
Agent accounts require additional verification (Aadhaar, PAN, bank details)

4. Booking & Shipment Rules

4.1 Prohibited Items

You must NOT ship the following items through our platform:

Explosives, firearms, and ammunition
Flammable liquids and gases (including petrol/diesel in vehicles)
Illegal drugs, narcotics, and prohibited substances
Hazardous chemicals, radioactive materials
Counterfeit goods, pirated content
Live animals (unless specifically permitted)
Currency, bullion, or negotiable instruments
Any item prohibited by Indian Railways rules

4.2 Packaging

Items must be properly packed for railway transit. Our agents provide professional packing at additional cost. Improperly packed items may be refused or damaged without liability to ParcelJi.

4.3 Weight & Dimensions

Maximum weight per parcel: 150 kg (Broad Gauge), 125 kg (Narrow Gauge). Pricing is based on chargeable weight (higher of actual weight or volumetric weight). Volumetric weight = (L × W × H in cm) ÷ 5000.

5. Pricing & Payment

Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
Estimated prices on the platform are indicative. Final price is confirmed by the assigned agent
Payment can be made online (Razorpay) or as directed by the agent
All payments are non-refundable once the shipment is picked up, except in cases of service failure
ParcelJi earns a commission on each transaction, deducted from the agent's earnings

6. Cancellation & Refund

Before agent acceptance: Free cancellation
After quote, before pickup: Cancellation allowed, no charges
After pickup: No cancellation. Shipment will proceed to destination
Refunds: If ParcelJi fails to provide the service, a full refund will be processed within 7-10 business days

7. Liability & Insurance

ParcelJi is a marketplace platform and does not directly handle goods. Liability for loss or damage during transit lies with the agent and Indian Railways
Optional insurance is available at 1% of declared value (for values above ₹10,000)
Claims must be filed within 48 hours of delivery
Maximum liability is limited to the declared value of the shipment or ₹50,000, whichever is lower
ParcelJi is not liable for delays caused by Indian Railways, natural disasters, strikes, or force majeure events

8. Agent Terms

Agents are independent contractors, not employees of ParcelJi
Agents must maintain valid authorization for railway cargo handling
Agents must respond to leads within 24 hours or leads may be reassigned
Commission rates are set by ParcelJi and may vary per agent or globally
Agents violating platform rules may be suspended or permanently banned

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including logos, text, images, software, and design — is the property of ParcelJi or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms
Provide false or misleading information
Engage in fraudulent activity
Ship prohibited items
Abuse the platform or harass agents/staff

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through:

Mutual negotiation between the parties
Mediation by a mutually agreed mediator
Arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in New Delhi

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
